Letter for inability

Question: You are Suman/Sukesh Bansal living at F-164 A. Mayur Colony, Delhi. Your friend who is in Kolkata has invited you to visit him/her after your examinations are over. Write a letter to him/her, expressing your inability to reach there.

.F-164 A, Mayur Colony,

Delhi,

April 20, 20……….

My dear Dushyant,

My examinations are over. It is very nice of you to invite me to spend a few days with you. I would very much like to visit you and enjoy your pleasant company. But I am sorry to say that it would not be possible for me to visit you. I have already written you that I intend to join a medical college. So I am preparing for the Medical Entrance Test conducted by C.B.S.E. This test is to be held in the third week of April. I have joined the coaching classes of Delhi Public College. So these days I am busy in preparing for the test. I, therefore, regret my inability to come to Kolkata.

I believe you will excuse me.

Yours sincerely

Letter for congratulating

Question: Your friend Sandeep has recovered from long illness. Write a letter congratulating him on his recovery.

C-2/196, Old Rohtak Road,

Delhi-110052,

5th May, 20

Dear Sandeep

I was much shocked to learn about your long illness from your letter. You remained sick with virus fever for about three weeks. Thank God you are on your feet now. Please accept my congratulations on your recovery.

Now you should take care of your health. The doctor’s advice must be strictly acted upon. Have light food at regular intervals. By now you must be feeling very weak. Take complete rest. If possible, you should go for regular morning and evening walks. A cool breeze will help you a lot.

Please write to me about your health every now and then.

Yours sincerely,

ABC
